Upon receipt of your claim(s) for any musical works, CMRRA shall undertake to review the details of such claim(s) prior to updating its records. In doing so, CMRRA reserves the right to contact you and/or any third parties deemed, in CMRRA’s sole discretion, to be necessary for verification of your claim(s). Additional documentation, including, but not limited to, proof of title may be required before a claim can be processed.
In the event that any of your claimed works are the subject of a Conflict (as defined hereafter), CMRRA shall record such work as under Conflict, and may not distribute royalties associated with the work until such Conflict is resolved. “Conflict” shall be defined as any situation whereby (a) the total number of claims for a given musical work exceed 100% ownership or representation of such work, or (b) multiple parties claim the same share in a musical work.
Once verification has been completed, CMRRA shall update its database of musical works registrations. CMRRA reserves the right to approve, amend, or deny your claim(s) in its sole discretion.
You acknowledge that, although CMRRA undertakes commercially reasonable efforts to verify your claim(s), CMRRA MAKES NO EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR REPRESENTATIONS THAT THE VERIFICATION IS ACCURATE AND WILL HAVE NO OBLIGATION OR LIABILITY TO YOU OR ANY OTHER PARTY.
