TORONTO, April 15, 2020 – The Canadian Musical Reproduction Rights Agency Ltd. (CMRRA), a SoundExchange company, is pleased to announce that Janet A. MacLean has joined the leadership team in their Toronto headquarters as Director of Human Resources, effective immediately.
“We’re tremendously excited to bring Janet to our team. Her depth of experience in the cultural sector will certainly resonate at CMRRA” said Paul Shaver, President of CMRRA. “Despite the stress on businesses resulting from the COVID-19 global pandemic, we are focused on supporting our staff and reviewing how we can provide additional services to the team while working from home so that royalties continue to be distributed effectively to our music publishing clients. We know that Janet will play a key role in this and we’re thrilled to welcome her to the team.”
Janet was most recently the Director, Human Resources and Knowledge Management at Lord Cultural Resources, the world’s largest cultural professional practice. Over her 22-year tenure at Lord, her leadership ensured human resources strategies worked alongside business objectives, while supporting employees through a variety of strategic programs including performance feedback, benefit support, change management, coaching and resource planning.
