CMRRA and the Canadian Publishers Committee

The Canadian Publishers Committee (CPC) was established to champion the interests of music publishers in Canada. The CPC actively guides Canadian advocacy, tariff and rate-setting, and ensures CMRRA continues to secure some of the world’s highest royalty rates, benefiting all music publisher clients.

The members of the CPC are appointed by the Board of Music Publishers Canada (MPC). MPC is a membership-based organization, founded in 1949, that ensures the views of music publishers working in Canada are heard. Its mission is to create business opportunities for its members and promote their interests and those of their songwriting partners through advocacy, communication, and education. The committee is composed of the members below.
