Important: New CMRRA Royalty Statement Format and Reports Coming in 2016
A new electronic royalty statement format will be launched in CMRRA Direct in March 2016. This new format will provide enhanced details on payments, works metadata and sound recording metadata, and will provide a single statement format for all royalty sources processed in our LDS system going forward (Mechanical, Online, Broadcast Mechanical). As the other types of distributions are migrated over, these too will be reported using the new statement format. For publishers who submit work registrations via CWR, CMRRA will also be able to return more of your own unique identifiers back to you in this new statement format.
This electronic file will be available in a CSV format and will replace both the old file format for statements, as well as the paper statements that many of our music publisher clients have been receiving. We will also provide you with additional, enhanced summary reporting that can be downloaded in either PDF or in Excel format. This new suite of royalty statement reports will be available to all of our music publisher clients through the new CMRRA Direct. For those music publisher clients who have received electronic files in the past, our staff will contact you directly to provide more details on the new file format so that you can prepare for the transition.
CMRRA is pleased to provide this enhanced service that will allow for increased efficiencies and even more transparency.
Thank you and we look forward to hearing from you!
