CMRRA congratulates David Murphy on receiving the 2015 Christopher-J.-Reed Award . Presented by the Association des professionnels de l’édition musicale (APEM), with the support of SOCAN, the award recognizes individuals engaged in their professional community who show a deep respect for creators and copyright, and whose contributions to the recognition of the importance of music publishers have been exceptional.
As the head of David Murphy et cie, a company he started in 1997 and located in Magog, Quebec, David is involved in music and audiovisual rights management as well as in album and show production via the enterprises of Blanche Tortue and Noir Lièvre. He also shares his expertise on the boards of APEM and Musicaction, and offers training for both APEM and ADISQ.
